The City of Cupertino is in the process of updating its Housing Element. The Housing Element is part of the City’s General Plan and identifies where, how, and how much existing and projected future housing Cupertino is required to plan for between 2023-2031. In accordance with State law, the City is required to revise the zoning and development capacity of certain properties, or housing sites, identified in the Housing Element update to accommodate the level of residential development necessary to meet the City’s Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) of 4,588 new housing units. At today’s open house meeting, we ask that you share your ideas about future rezoning and housing development in the City.
