Block Leader Orientation

A connected community is a resilient community.

Block Leaders are engaged Cupertino residents who connect neighbors, build a sense of community, and enable information sharing between the City of Cupertino and residents. By doing so, Block Leaders help create a more resilient community.

As a Block Leader, you will receive a newsletter with City updates, attend program meetings to get to know your fellow volunteers, help hold community events, and keep your neighbors informed.

You don’t need to be a party planner – community events can be as simple as meeting in the park or a nearby coffee shop. In fact, to be a Block Leader you just need to be a Cupertino resident who is passionate about public safety and your neighborhood.

If you are interested in learning more, join us at the upcoming Block Leader orientation. We will discuss best practices to start a Block, program expectations, and what resources are available to you. Also discussed are potential topics for Block gatherings, common questions and concerns (as well as their solutions), and public safety resources.
