PG & E Construction & Noise Update
PG&E is undertaking a major upgrade of the Monta Vista Substation located at 10300 California Oak Way. As required by city's noise ordinance, property owners near the construction area are notified of the requested work hour extension, with objections primarily concentrating around the start time of 7 am on Saturday and Sunday.
The City is taking into account the concerns of the residents and the parameters under which PG&E is working to avoid prolonged (10-12 hour) power blackouts, and is approving the following variance to our ordinance.

**Although originally requesting a noise exception to work Saturday and Sunday from 7am – 7:30pm on eleven weekends, PG&E has now decreased that request to eight weekends.
