Beginning January 16, selected vegetation will be pruned or removed along Stevens Creek in the section bordered by the Blackberry Farm Golf Course and the Stocklmeir parcel. The work is in preparation for the creek restoration activities that will occur later this year. The vegetation management focuses on reduction and removal of invasive nonnative species and areas where the creek will be restored. These vegetation management actions will be implemented now rather than later to avoid potential impacts during nesting season. The work will continue over the next few weeks.
