Leader in Training
Leaders in Training are invaluable members of the Cupertino Recreation summer team, as they provide support to our recreation leaders. Volunteers are trained in supervision, safety, problem-solving, and leading camp activities. Like an internship, volunteers will receive on-the-job training and job skills that are not available through other mediums and will work with City staff to lead camp activities, supervise students, and represent the City of Cupertino. At the end of each week, volunteers will receive evaluations of their participation and suggestions for areas of improvement. Teens who want to cultivate their leadership skills should volunteer 4-8 weeks of summer.
Recruitment for LIT 2025 will begin in February 2025.
Youth Activity Board

The main goal of the YAB is to create engaging and fun activities which local youth can participate in every other month.
