The Stevens Creek Boulevard Corridor Vision Study is a collaborative multi-jurisdictional two-year project that builds on prior transportation planning initiatives to establish a unified vision for the future of the corridor. Its goal is to align the shared values and priorities across the corridor, ensuring that future transportation investments are well-coordinated across San José, Santa Clara, Cupertino, the County, and VTA.

During the life of this project, the participating agencies will seek input from the community to better understand the challenges and opportunities within the corridor. Based on this feedback, we'll agree on a clear vision and develop realistic actions to achieve it, including recommendations on directing transportation investments from all participating agencies.

The Stevens Creek Corridor, a central hub for health, education, tech, shopping, and housing in the South Bay, is witnessing significant commercial and residential growth. In response, Cupertino, Santa Clara, San José, and Santa Clara County endorsed a vision study in 2019, aiming to establish cohesive mobility strategies to improve community life. This initiative received regional funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for high-capacity transit after a joint proposal by corridor agencies. Beginning its vision study in January 2023, the steering committee, comprised of elected officials from the participating agencies will oversee and guide the development of the project.
